I don’t glorify Luigi, but I do empathize with him. Debilitating, chronic pain mixed with the feeling of helplessness with our healthcare system is a special kind of hell. Separately, he is too intelligent, educated and handsome to spend his entire life in prison while POSs like OJ & Rittenhouse walked and POSs like Trump get to be president (twice!). I hope his hotshot NYC lawyer can get him a lenient sentence and he is treated for whatever physical and/or mental ailments led him to this drastic and atrocious act.
I agree. Prison is not the right place for smart beautiful people. They deserve a free pass, if just to improve our society.
The halo effect this guy is getting is ridiculous. If some homeless guy carried this out the reaction would be different
Duh It because he’s not a career criminal, gang member, loser drug addict, generation crime and poverty family. He was a normal, successful, nerdy, athletic, journaling loved person, possibly with bad back pain and he got in his head a lot. Then closed everyone out, went away, emerged in a Manhattan murder case. That’s truly tragic. He will be destroyed in prison.
This guy's next stop would have been homelessness. How do you think people become homeless?
Very rare that they’re the above. You know that. Most homelessness is generational poverty. Drugs and drug induced disorders. Next up is lack of family or support networks thus acute homelessness because chronic. Also up is untreated mental disorders, estranged people. Maybe some former successful people here. Luigi would have been put in a center had Missing Persons been expanded beyond the San Fran locality and he was found earlier.
