This was not a case where either victim died instantly. The horror and suffering over this time is sickening to contemplate. I still am not buying a gun in a safe in a closet, I think both defendants had the victims at gunpoint quickly. Thanks for typing out the above, PP. Just utter depravity and indifference to human life. With a CHILD in the home who then was forced to play happy familiy with her mommy's killers.
I am on the fence on whether she was sent to the closet to get the second gun or had it the whole time. I can see Brendan, as CB & JR lay dying (and his young accomplice maybe now scared and definitely in shock) suddenly deciding to make sure JPM keeps her mouth shut by making sure she is just as culpable as he is and directing her to take that shot.
I sort of agree, I was recently thinking that I’m not sure if the second shot/gun was in the original plan. I’m thinking that because of police/1st responder saying Brendan asked if Joe still had a pulse….I think after the first shot, he could have been worried Joe wouldn’t die and would tell what happened.
Sorry in advance for the nsfw part. But I think it’s plausible that Bb shot jr in the face incapacitating him,but not killing him. Bb reholsters his irs weapon. Bb doesn’t realize that jr is alive. Bb uses jrs knife to kill cb. BBs hands are covered in cbs blood. Jm jumps the gun and calls 911. Bb decides he needs to finish jr. he has Jm hang up. BBs no rocket surgeon, but he knows there is no way he can touch that firearm without transferring blood to it. (Maybe if I had some lava). Jm gets the second firearm and shoots jr for the second time. Bb then adjusts the bodies smears jr with some blood and they place the second(or third) 911 call. Jm would have to repack the knapsack to avoid blood transfer to the contents.
This makes sense and accounts for the long gap between 911 calls. He may have also left the gun safe ajar when he left for work. Was BB covered in CB’s blood when the police arrived? Guess he could explain that saying he was trying to save her.
