I wouldn't say she's complaining. She was advocating for her school that the school board is turning it's back on. Nothing is being done to fix Lewis now. That's a serious problem. The school is severely unenrolled and no one is doing anything.[/quote]

The solution is easy but FCPS doesn’t want to hear it, because it would definitely lead to a lot of cascading effects. Dump IB at Lewis and replace it with a full slate of AP classes, and bring in some more vocational classes too to bring back the transfers to Edison and wherever else (maybe Falls Church?) The problem is they know that if they end IB at one school, everywhere else that has it and has, like, 20 students or fewer getting an IB diploma (which is most of them) is going to clamor to end it at their school too. Then FCPS would have to admit that IB isn’t popular and doesn’t create “life long learners” and “a school within a school” and they could never, ever admit that. [/quote][/quote]
