Netanyahu and the government of the State of Israel spiked a hostage deal in July 2024 that was ready for implementation. xx But separately, an Israeli source familiar with the talks said Netanyahu’s demands were to blame for the deaths of the hostages over the weekend. “Two months ago, when he (Netanyahu) put the obstacles, he said no to the deal,” the source told CNN. “The hostages died because he insisted.” xx https://www.cnn.com/2024/09/04/middleeast/netanyahu-derailed-hostage-deal-in-july-intl/index.html
Actually the hostages died because Hamas members put a gun to their heads. Full stop.
According to IDF who discovered them. Why would Hamas kill only six hostages now after a year esp an American hostage if they want them safe in a Tunnel as bargaining chips? Why would Hamas leave the hostage corpses around them for the Israeli cadavers to smell something ? It’s more likely IDF entered the tunnel killing Hamas and the hostages together as the hostages were wearing similar clothes to Hamas and they couldn’t tell. Because one of the poor hostages (RIP) was American, Israel has reason to say Hamas killed him. They aren’t going to say they entered a tunnel and eliminated Hamas and the hostage human shields
What’s happened to this site is so depressing. What is wrong with you? The hostages were killed because Israeli soldiers were about to rescue them and Hamas did not want hostages rescued through military means, after four were rescued in this way a few months ago. Hamas subsequently made this clear in an announcement about a new hostage policy after they murdered these six. None of this is complicated unless you are trying to twist yourself into a pretzel to say that Hamas did not torture and kill these hostages.
+100
