And did I call it or did I call it? Now the American flag... http://www.campusreform.org/?ID=6349
That article is from March. That is not "now" and is completely unrelated to this topic. BTW, you have been accusing liberals of wanting to bring down Nikki Haley. Buy Ann Coulter attacked her for being an immigrant who doesn't understand America -- though Haley was born in the U.S. Whose side are you on -- Coulter's or Haley's.
Isn't it wonderful that Nikki Haley is undoing the democrat's racist raising of that flag over the state house? Liberals must be THRILLED! It takes republicans to undo what democrats have done! And didn't a NAACP President (Edgerton) defend flying the rebel flag? And didn't a republican governor try to remove it in the 70s and was thwarted - by democrats? In this sense - Coulter also has a point, in that Haley is getting the history of the flag wrong. She's a first generation American and she nor her family has no long-standing history in this country and perhaps that's why. I see Media Matters covered the Coulter story. Given they've admitted to protecting the Clintons ( http://dailycaller.com/2015/06/22/media-matters-founder-we-defend-hillary-clinton/), can we actually trust them? And didn't Bill Clinton play golf multiple times at a white only country club? And didn't they support the confederate flag when governor and Mrs? So many, many, many 'feels'. So little 'thinks'.
I'm confused, are you saying that you agree with both Coulter and Haley? How does that work? And, are you suggesting that Haley wouldn't have supported removing the flag if she had deeper family-ties to this country? Finally, the flag has not yet been removed. Before you make this a Democrat-Republican issue, you might want to wait to see with the Republicans in the SC legislature actually do. Given that you are all about "thinks" rather than "feels", I would expect that you could clearly say whether you agree or disagree with Coulter.
Well, if you are thinking it through, it's very easy to agree with both. I think Haley should do what she feels is best for the state of SC. And I think Coulter has a point when she made her statement about Haley, who is a first generation American. I have no idea what Haley would do if, say, her family had fought in the civil war. No one does. I can say that Haley seems to be reactive as do other republicans. I'm not a fan of that when it comes to political policy. It invariably screws things up. The Republicans did not raise that flag. Democrats did. That's simply fact. As is that a Republican governor tried to take it down. As did the Clintons support the flag in AK. As did Bill attend a white-only club multiple times. Do we really need to play the tape of Lyndon Johnson using the N word when he speaks about black coming out to vote more than whites? Didn't think so....
