Not trying to throw shade at VDA, but a lot of those kids committed while playing at other teams. With that being said, VDA still does a great job getting kids in school.
Very odd that girls who are committed would leave Arlington, NVA and similar clubs to drive all the way to VDA for no reason. Like it or not VDA is attracting the most talent right now. And if your daughter is good enough she will tryout there and leave her club if she gets an offer.
Plenty of “good enough” players don’t go to VDA for any number of reasons. One reason maybe is that it is really far away.
No no … only a few. And they know who they are. Your DD would be at VDA if given the opportunity and the roster space to play existed. Its only far away for those in MD and even with that girls from MD make the trek.
ARL and Union are losing to VDA big time. They will feel it big time next year they dont do any development internally and with added leagues no where to pull from
ARL will be just fine. Union will have 1 age group that competes - thats about it for them.
+1 LoL the show goes on. Losing big time sounds hilarious. A few players change. A few players come down from the comforts of a good team to a meh team. Will meshing even more players work out the second time around? Who knows. Charlotte and Richmond will test this theory. Cant speak for Arlington but from what I hear from the families they will be fine.
Which of the Arlington teams got better for next year?
Which Union teams got better? Asking for a friend.
Union 11s: lost 10 or 11 players. it is downhill from here. Union 12s: losing their main forward to VDA. Next year will test MV’s competence. Arlington 12s: lost some of their best players to VDA. The newcomers are subpar. Next season will be interesting Arlington 11s: lost 2 key players to VDA and 1 is leaving the area.
So for the 11s and 12s, only VDA got better. I see VDA being tops in the state at both age groups.
Proud dad is proud. If they are it won’t be off the current rosters contributions by your logic. So happy your DD got the help she so sorely needed since she couldn’t do it herself as it stands. Those new girls backs will be hurting from carrying the rosters to the promised land. Seriously go get some air and less beer chap. As for next season. Let next season speak for itself #5. Also there are other clubs that would disagree that are not even in the dmv.
