How do you think child care is supposed to work if the school parking lots, side walks etc are not cleared? So many streets are not plowed, how are child care providers supposed to get out of their neighborhoods to get to the school?
Many lots and streets are cleared. The providers always have the option to not open. MCPS has not given them that option. This has been explained as nauseum on these threads. It's clear Thomas just wants to give his people a bunch of free days off. Montgomery County Government is open today. Not even liberal leave. This is embarrassing for MCPS.
Most public schools in the DMV are closed. Its just a few days. Its not the end of the world. Get a grip.
Nobody is saying it is the end of the world. We are saying we are missing work and income so Thomas Taylor can curry favor with a bunch of overpaid bureaucrats.
If most schools are closed in the DMV how can you blame or single out Taylor and MCPS?
Because as far as I know, MCPS is the only one forcing on-site private child care providers to stay closed through Thursday (and probably Friday.)
Then you haven't done much research. SACC is closed in FCPS, even though their central office is open.
