The people who won’t accept it don’t care what the safest choice is. They are willing to accept a larger amount of risk so they don’t disappoint their employer or lose income. These are valid and legitimate priorities for those individuals, but unfortunately for them, the priority of safety of students and staff and operational considerations like do buildings have heat and running water are higher priorities for the school district. Many of us are going without in one this week and as an added bonus during the government shutdowns.  Stop using us as talking points.  Buildings opened today and our road is barely passable but my spouse felt forced to go in.  I’d rather be safe and no income for another day.  [/quote]

I literally said “the people who won’t accept it” referring to people who will be unhappy about the closure tomorrow and a potential closure Friday regardless of the as yet unknown condition of the roads, school properties and sidewalks. You are not one of those people, obviously, so it does not refer to you, and you are not being used as a “talking point.” [/quote]
