The starvation and slaughter of innocent Gazans is an absolute tragedy. The fact that that narrative is being controlled in such a way that “don’t kill children” is now synonymous with being an antisemite - is actually what has erased my last scrap of hope for the future of humanity. When propaganda can drown out actual footage of dead children- all for the sake of a few people having more money and more power…. It’s over. The “soul” of human beings as a whole is gone. There are good people in this world still, but at this point the cancer cells have out maneuvered and over powered the healthy cells of this organism.
While I agree that soulless acts are happening all around us, I don’t believe humanity has lost its soul. I know this because I exist—and in doing so, I help establish humanity. I am surrounded by loving, thoughtful, and principled people with a wide range of belief systems—from the deeply mature to the heartbreakingly simple. That in itself is a kind of hope. I also agree with the PP: the war must end. Full stop. FWIW, I come at this as someone who believes in the Bible—and respects the Q’ran - and I believe there will come a time when this world as we know it will end. Read holy books. There is more in common than there is that is not.
