It’s creepy that you are so ignorant. Pregnancy is actually quite dangerous for women. Multiple things can go wrong and sadly often do. Why do you suppose there are so many superstitions about preparing for a baby before his or her healthy arrival?

Add in unacceptably high maternal mortality rates in the United States (more than double that of other high income countries) and yeah, there is a lot of scope for tragic outcomes. [/quote]
