Np, former Hardy teacher that left and teach in ward 7 now. Life is way less stressful. Hardy teachers, we have several openings, class sizes are all around 20 and parents thinking they can do my job better than I do are a lot rarer. Any parent wondering why Cooke left... You know hes still in the same system still doing the same job.... Just... Not with you, right? Lol
I have no doubt his decision-making for leaving Hardy was complex and I don't think it was primarily because of the parents community. Was it a factor? Sure, I bet it was. But you do him a disservice in broadcasting your assumptions here. I'd imagine bigger drivers in his decision to go to MacFarland include being able to work at a school he can walk to from his home. Working a couple blocks from his kids' elementary school where he can run to for assemblies or dropping off a forgotten lunchbox, like other parents who are trying to be there for their kids. A nicer existence than busting his ass every day to get across town super early. And he worked late often. And was present at tons of sporting events. He's just that kind of engaged leader. His kids are in-boundary for MacFarland. You don't think part of his calculus in taking the gig was wanting to try and affect change at MacFarland so that it has a better chance of being a great school for his own children? Plus DCPS needed a dynamic, proven leader for MacFarland. DCPS sees the potential in MacFarland. And they know Cooke can get it there. Was leaving behind the many daily parent emails and calls a bonus when he decided to make the move? Probably. But to say that was the primary reason he left tells me you dont know him.
Lmao what a long nonsensical post. I can tell you don’t know him either. Well….sounds like you know him as a parent. Your take on why he left is exactly what he fed you and what your fragile egos need to believe. Anyone that actually KNOWS the great Cooke, or has worked with him knows he left 1000% because of the terrible Hardy parents. Sorry to burst your bubble.
I’ve been reading your posts throughout this thread. You come across like an unhinged and frequently drunk but consistently racist clown who is both terrified that DCPS employees might be held accountable for their performance and completely disinterested in the quality of education that DCPS students receive. You claim to be a Hardy staff member but have done little to distinguish yourself from a Macedonian troll paid to spread misinformation and foment social division. People told you many pages ago to get lost. The thread would be much better had you heeded that advice.
Hi there. Im at least one the of the ones you keep telling to get lost, but I didn't write the post you responded to. I do see why everyone thinks you are a bunch of bullies tho.
The beauty of this forum is that anyone can claim to be anyone they want to be without fear of being outed or held accountable for the ridiculous and bigoted screeds they post here. It shouldn’t be a surprise that those who take advantage of this feature are also those who have the most to fear from being held accountable for how they perform their jobs, whether at DCPS or elsewhere. I couldn’t care if there is one or ten of you. What matters is that you get the message that your racist claptrap is unwelcome both here and in the real world. If you choose to ignore or diminish the many serious failings that led to PJ’s removal, don’t be surprised when no one takes anything you write with the smallest bit of credence. Holding people accountable for their behavior and performance is not bullying. It’s doing right for the kids of this city.
Racists claptrap was a funny term within this silliness
“I know enough to turn you inside out, old gal, you sockdologizing old man-trap.”
