Now watch all the non-MAGA Republicans make various displeased noises while secretly thanking their lucky stars Trump is being taken out by Democrats. They just can't celebrate in public.
Exactly! The happiest people today are not just Dems but many of the mainstream Republicans that despise Trump and are too scared to cross him. And those that want to run for president will be doubly excited.
It's a win for the country club wing of the GOP rather than the populist.
BWWWAHHAAA! The Populist wing!!! Of the GQP????
What do you think MAGA was? Trump making promises to improve the lives of working class white voters. Not that he followed through, but he was the only one to address their fears.
Interesting that you divide the working class into white and non-whites. Why didn't Trump address the fears of the black working class?
For better or worse, the GOP is percieved as the "white" party, despite them not advocating for them because that would be racist. The black working class has been incredibly loyal to the democratic party post 1960s. You could make the argument that his anti-immigrant rhetoric and pro american job stance would benefit them, but they are reliable Dem voters and unlike the GOP the Dems actually do things that benefit their votors, while the GOP only does things that benefit their donors.
