Few kids in the Class of 2021 took gap years -- they were ready to get back to in-person. It's the Class of 2020 that had large numbers of students who took gap years, which has had a ripple effect on admissions since then (along with TO, of course). [/quote] Lots of 2021 kids took gap years when they learned classes would still be on line and social life still restricted severely at some schools. For most campuses, the class of 2022 was the first post-COVID class to have a normal freshman year.[/quote]
