+1 and it’s also the magnet IB for the entire county. I would expect the score to be high! UMD would compare RMIB students not the entire MCPS IB pool.[/quote]

RMIB is county wide test in magnet school students are selected.

so how do you explain an IB diploma graduate with a 1440 SAT and 3.8ish weighted GPA not getting into UMD?

Not sure if that's true but 3.8 weighted gpa is not enough.  also remember college admission is more than just two data points - gpa/test score. all these kids with relatively high stats may have f'ed up some other aspects of app[/quote]
