When the sickest of the sick are in medical guardianship, that is one thing and these are people who are generally low functioning. Brittany Spears isn’t in that category. Moreover, I think the courts are often motivated by deterring risk and liability versus doing what a person needs to be well, successful, healthy. Look at the criminalization of drugs and the role of courts in that. [/quote]
