I guess the thinking is that she did an excellent job in her state. But Lujan Grisham definitely has stronger credentials overall, so this is a head scratcher.

What I heard was that Lujan Grisham was offered HHS and turned it down. She’s now going to be the head of the Democratic Governors’ Association. Usually it’s VA that’s the hot potato that no one wants, looks like it’s HHS this time, somewhat understandably.[/quote]
