Peanut butter burgers are good. People associate PB with things that are sweet, because it is often eaten with jelly, but if you really think about it, PB is perfect because you mix a nutty flavor the saltiness of bacon. Peanuts are used in all sorts of Thai dishes for sorta the same effect. You just have to force your brain to stop telling you that you're expecting something sweet when you eat PB on a burger.
I hate PB, didn't grow up with it. But, it is seriously good in Panang curry. The dish would not be the same without it. But, I do not understand forcing your brain not to expect something that is a reflex memory for people that grew up with sweet PB. Nobody needs to eat love bacon and peanut butter together, but if you like it, that is also great for you. And you should enjoy it. I love cabbage, but I don't force people to try it million times.
