As a boy parent I have already seen some positive change in terms of club focus/ investment of the boys.

MYS had a ‘who cares’ attitude toward the boys program/coaches/players forever —which is why they are in the position they are in. They turned a blind eye and would not give boys the time of day. Guess where that led them?

FVU appears to be prepared to provide ample focus and investment to boys. They are clearly making some early mistakes with how they handled tryouts and lack of comms/ retention of families and secrecy. The slowness of tryout process did not do them any favors. But, at they have been clear that boys are no longer serving as the cash cows for girls. They still need to deliver but at least there is a semblance of a plan. It’s unfortunate that they couldn’t /didn’t try to retain the strong MYS coaches along the way- that was a miss.

But overall MYS leadership/Board  and former club TD could learn a valuable lesson about how to not lose an entire club through mismanagement and using one side to fund the other. [/quote]
