To be fair including the phrase “childlike curiosity” in a birthday greeting to someone he surely knew was a pedophile is incredibly messed up. But he’s not president now and if he was it should damage his reputation and credibility! (Just like trumps much much creepier letter should damage his if anything made sense.) [/quote]

I'm not saying the Clinton was innocent, but "childlike curiosity" is best understood in the context of a 50th birthday card. It's flattery. It's like saying, "you don't look a day over 40" etc. The message by itself isn't incriminating, though I wouldn't bat an eye if more comes out about Clinton and Epstein.[/quote]

Yes, that might be true is the greeting wasn’t to a person Clinton must have known was a pedoohile though.

I agree, if I put “childlike wonder” in a birthday card to one of my mom friends for her birthday it’s not implying a wink wink about sexual abuse of children but to Epstein it is.

Try this on for size- “I hope you celebrate your birthday with a nice cigar, uncle Ted!” vs the same message to bill clinton-it obviously lands differently.

I think trump (and trump’s letter) are much worse than the also terrible Clinton but I don’t see how anyone can think it’s a coincidence to put that phrase in a letter to a (well known, even at the time) pedophile.

Clinton’s clearly a creeper but he’s not stupid-if he wasn’t intending a subtle wink about Epstein’s proclivities he would not have used that phrasing. [/quote]
