I expect Bullis will continue to water the grass. But than don't try to have that and acceptance into the IAC Gentlemen's club at the same time.

But let's be blunt.

These other schools and their supporters (parent's alums, etc) see what Bullis is doing and would disagree that this is even close to anything the other schools have ever done. And it's just not lacrosse. Football would be Exhibit "A".

Bullis has never had an IAC rival like SSSA v. EHS or Prep v. Landon or STA and Landon. It's always been slightly outside the loop. Technically an IAC member but really thought of as "A public school you pay for"). The current Bullis IAC nickname is "Falls Road High School".

This new emphasis on athletics and the way it is being done is NOT improving the image of the school among the others.

Disagree with PP...Having nationally ranked programs in IAC is good for area lax, more exposure for all teams...btw Landon v Prep is not a rivalry anymore as Landon wins every year often by wide margin. Many of the current Landon and Bullis boys have played club together for years and families know each other well, so the "gentlemen's club" comment is pretty silly[/quote]
