Riiiight... so a child who is simply unhappy due to not having a group of friends (or a PEER GROUP, to borrow from overused AAP parlance), isn't free to choose another school unless they submit to the bolded, above.  But a child who qualifies for AAP is perfectly within his/her rights to choose the center school in order to find [i]their[/i] PEER GROUP.

If your ruminations over AAP will be satisfied only by having equal everything for your precious snowflake (to borrow from overused Gen Ed parlance), you may never be satisfied.  But as for "peer groups" in the sense employed in AAP discussions, that you already have.  It doesn't mean "a group of friends".         [/quote]
