GDS is considered one of the top schools in the greater Washington, D.C. area, without question, by people involved in independent schools. Very selective admissions; stable and well qualified faculty; sound finances; loyal alumni base. I'm not sure why this should be at all controversial -- I assume someone is just trying to make people angry with rather silly pronouncements like the one quoted above.[/quote]
