This is so funny.  My husband is from the straight up hood, Westwood-Memphis, TN and been dressing like this since 4th grade.  To the person who posted this, you fail to realize that the "Prep" look for the black folks has been popular since the 80's.  Everyone wanted to wear Ralph Lauren and Polo.  Why? Cause is was expensive and folks knew if your mom dressed you in polo you had cash (even while living poor) otherwise known as hood rich. Husband still wears nothing but polo, right down to the socks.  Take the man out the hood, but can't take the hood out...[/quote]

I'm PP. I knew a black guy who dressed similar to this way, too, but he didn't live in a crime ridden neighborhood. I was referring to guys who dress like this in a crime ridden neighborhood, like SouthCentral LA.  Such a guy would get picked on there.  I lived not too far from there.[/quote]

You think in high crime areas every single resident is a criminal???
You don't think In high crime areas there are plenty of law abiding hard working folk who abhor the crime that goes on and may have been a victim of but cannot afford to move?
