[/quote] It's the highest rated show on cable television by a mile. They only films a few weeks out of the year. He is a big part of why they are so successful. I don't think the creators counted on his character being as important to the show as Rick's is. Michonne is heading that direction as well. IMHO, I guess my point is I don't see them being able to get rid of him without fan revolt. It would be a 'jumping of the shark' moment for the series.[/quote]
