Shameful it’s more important to look for fame than to look after your own kid. Pretty sure we know how this kid will turn out in 20 years.
Oh come on, let's not shame a working mother. The event was in town. They were probably away from the baby for 2-3 hours. Bet her mom or a sister is there with her. Most of us think the baby was not born in the last week. After several weeks with a newborn, I'd be happy to get dressed up and out of the house for an evening, too. That leaves a whole lot of hours with the baby. But do I think they're fame hungry? Sure.
It’s not her movie so she wasn’t working
For celebrity actors, going to your spouse's movie opening (especially if a major opening with tons of industry heavy hitters and lots of major press) is 100% part of your job. It is not a fun party. Walking the red carpet, posing for photos, doing interviews with your spouse, etc. -- it's work. But also it's just a few hours of work and she could go home after red carpet with no one judging her because she has a new baby at home. But the benefits of that few hours of work is their photo prominently circulating around the world for a few days, keeping her name (and Justin's) more top of mind for directors and producers, and showing people she still looks good immediately after having a baby, which is also a major reason actresses try to do public events shortly after having kids so industry people can see them and be reassured. It sucks that's how it is, but it's an extremely visual business and you will not get work if people don't think you will look camera ready in time for a shoot.
