It's a wonky, academic word. On The Pitt, the characters use technical medical terms because they are doctors and nurses. Sheldon Cooper would insist on using the word. Student doctor Joy would not. I get they you are proud of yourself for knowing the technical word but that does not make it an "error" for the show to decide this particular character would use the colloquial term.[/quote]
