The retirement is at a high because you continue to pay into it. The markets are not at highs, so you have to factor in where the markets would be if Trump hadn't effed around with tariffs and wars and deportations.

Gas is cheaper at the moment because of the lowered demand thanks to EVs, Solar and Wind alternatives. However, Gas futures are now at $100/barrel so expect the gas to go up signifcantly as the summer goes on.

And, while YOUR condition may have improved, the conditions for average Americans since January is significantly degraded, so you have to look at macro trends for where the country is, rather than the anecdotal of your personal situation.[/quote]
