That’s not what happened. The Republicans had arranged prior notice to tour the prison. Van Hollen was offered that too if he gave more notice but he declined.

C'mon now. Are you that naive? You think that if Bukele had told the prison authorities to meet with him that they wouldn't drop their "prior notice" rule and accommodate Van Hollen? Bukele is in Trump's pocket and will do what Trump tells him to do. [/quote]
