Quick reminder that the largest act of domestic terror in US history was committed by two lily white/non-Muslim US citizens. “Perpetrated by anti-government extremists Timothy McVeigh, the mastermind, and Terry Nichols, the bombing occurred at 9:02 a.m. and killed 167 people, injured 684, and destroyed more than one-third of the building, which had to be demolished. The blast destroyed or damaged 324 other buildings and caused an estimated $652 million worth of damage.”
Isnt he the guy who blew up the kindergarten?
There was a daycare center in the federal building, yes. 19 children were among those who died.
What in the world does that have to do with this case, though? Why is always top of mind to care more about the individual's race than any other factor? Muslims make up about 1.1% of the total U.S. population, which translates to approximately 3.45 million people. That's such a small percentage of people. That seems to be to contributing factor to this terrorist act, not his race. African-American Muslims, also known as Black Muslims, are an African-American religious minority. African-American Muslims account for over 20% of American Muslims. They represent one of the larger Muslim populations of the United States as there is no ethnic group that makes up the majority of American Muslims. Nearly 80%, the vast majority of Black Americans are Christian, not Muslim. I was at a hair salon a few years back. The white woman born and raised in Florida, converted to Islam. She became a Muslim because of her husband. She was spewing some surprising hatred toward Christians and Jews. If she wasn't in the middle of coloring my hair, I would have walked out.
