Democrats don't want to send anyone into combat. Historically it has been Republicans pushing military action while Democrats seek diplomatic solutions.

But if combat is needed, Democrats do think that women are able to do the job alongside men, and should not be prevented from it based on gender. We still have a volunteer force (for now, at least) and nobody - male or female - is required to serve if they don't feel they are personally up for the task. [/quote]

Democrats are wrong.

The ability to wage war and fight in combat is not based on personal preference.

There are plenty of men who are not able to do so. Combat Arms is one designation, Infantry is a separate category that only very specific men can effectively fill.

Infantry is its own special beast. Conducting combat operations as an Infantry soldier is not something all people are able to do. At all. Not all men, no women. None. Not an woman who is an olympian, not a female rugby player, not a female bodybuilder, etc.

Democrats are dangerous and should stop pretending they have the best interests of our military and women at heart, because they do not. [/quote]
