This only makes the whole thing much worse - it's a desperate attempt to cover up (weirdly) the simple reality that Biden is a very old man behaving like a very old man who is not entirely present some if not much of the time. A man in full possession of his faculties at a major G-7 gathering doesn't randomly wander off from the group of world leaders to give thumbs up to a solder who isn't even facing him! The Italian PM had to walk over to him and escort him back to the group! Like he was a child. Or an elderly and somewhat confused grandparent.

Between this, his weird body movement at the Normandy event, and his spaced out presence at the Juneteenth event, it's difficult to still pretend that these are all hit pieces taken out of context. Pragmatic people know the truth because we see it all the time with the elderly in our life who are in decline.

That’s exactly right. They are drawing more attention to his episode by trying to claim the paratrooper was edited out. The clips I have seen, the paratrooper is clearly visible, he’s kneeling on the ground wearing a maroon beret, packing his chute up. Biden is clearly focused on that one Soldier, he’s watching him when the Soldier in blue parachutes in from above. All the other G-7 leaders are watching that man parachute down in front of them, which actually takes some skill, to land right in front of their group. They are clapping and smiling as he lands, and Biden is turned away. He’s not clapping. He gestures with a thumbs up and the guy doesn’t even notice him. This man doesn’t even see or hear the president of the United States speaking to him. It’s bizarre. We all see the paratrooper; he never acknowledges Biden. If he had seen Biden gesturing to him or heard him speaking to him, he would have responded. He would have even saluted the president.
