Broadneck, Oakton and Dominion have everything to lose by playing GC, SR, and other near-top ten DMV teams. Big deficit losses would knock them out of top ten contention and undermine the public / private program balance narrative they (and the WaPo writers) want the public to believe exists in the DMV. Not a knock on VA publics - they don’t play in the same competitive leagues the privates do. Just play the best to be the best and let the scores settle the debate.[/quote]
