Some in the West, including the Baltic states, understand:

- you never negotiate with Russians.  The Russians will only waste your time while plotting to attack you.

No.  With Russians, you achieve a position of superiority over them through force.  Then, you dictate your terms.  If the Russians abide by your terms, all is well.  When they deviate, you project force in a proportional response.

Once Russia has been expelled from Crimea and the rest of Ukraine territory, only then can “negotiations” begin.[/quote]
