I know lot here like to tip for takeout and keep justifying though they make decent wages 15-17/ hour. I am sure a lot of DCUM does not know that in healthcare when you go to hospitals, nursing home the aides who take care of patients or the nurses hardly get paid enough for their job. Especially CNA’s and they can’t accept tips. The CNAs might make same or less than the take out workers. LPN nurses might make 22-25/ hour standing on their leg all day and can’t accept tips. I am sure DCUM will say they getting paid for what they do but for what a CNA the aide do they all should get paid more but they system do not. People talking about inflation adjustment but most healthcare workers pay stay the same even after 10 years . That’s why hospitals and nursing home struggle with staffing issues but the same DCUM people demand highest level service . I think it’s absurd to ask a LPN nurse to top 10$ for her every take out order . So it’s not like only take out workers are working . I’m not saying you should tip or normalize tipping healthcare workers. But I want to point out that healthcare workers don’t get paid enough to do the job. No one can change it or voice out. Just a thought
