[/quote] My kid got so much more money (that did not need to be paid back) from "fancier schools" and their total college costs were less than in-state tuition. They did not "live large" but they got a great education and amazing internship possibilities. So it was a good decision. Please note that choosing a different school can be done for financial reasons. College expenses are complicated. They have already paid off over half of their loans. I hope (because they are not in a high earning career) that SLF will help them move forward in life. Your cry of "unfair" is short-sited.[/quote]
