I wouldn't have had any idea if school hadn't been virtual and/or if my kids all stayed in their rooms all day for virtual school. Once I overheard some of the material in their homeroom class, we discussed it and my kids told me these socio emotional lessons are relatively new and that they've become increasingly more political/social justice oriented.
