I don't understand how the whole premise of "you're too stupid to find an organization to give to so give it to us, we'll take 15% off the top, and then we will decide who to give it to." works for an organization to raise money. I'm perfectly capable of giving to organizations that do work I believe in, but thanks for the huge offer to be part of your group...
I have to agree. :( In general she seems to try to use her platform to elevate other voices and not try to capitalize on them. But when it comes to LC, it just seems like a giant money grab. I don't understand why she doesn't just point people directly to the organizations, or to other charity rating groups that assess charities like LC claims to do, but for free. Especially now when we don't know why they're getting divorced, it seems very shady to ask for donations. How do we know the issue isn't a financial one having to do with LC? Not that I've ever donated to them, but I for sure wouldn't at this point without a statement from their lawyer saying that the organization is on the up and up, and until we know what each of BH and JH's relationship to LC will be post-divorce.
