Neutral Observers Way Early 2025 Preseason Rankings: 1. SJC - the Cadets were young this year and played an entire season without Dunkel allowing for maturity and growth. Look for the Cadets to re-load this offseason. Speaks is one of the best coaches in the DMV. 2. Landon - despite the graduation of a strong 2024 class, the Bears have plenty of players returning in their 2025 class to defend their title. Landon had the best JV in the DMV, expect to see some 2027's emerge. As always, the Bears are extremely well-coached and it showed this Spring. 3. Bullis - the Bulldogs have a LOADED 2025 class but can they put it all together as a team? Jackson Mahar will take the Bulldogs as far as they can go. Depth is always an issue with the Bulldogs. Despite what others say here, Bellistri is an extremely good coach. 4. Gonzaga - despite the graduation losses, especially on both sides of the ball, Guy Cicotello returns as one of the top LSMs in the Nation. Eagles always have the horses to run with anyone and are well-coached. 5. Prep - the Lil Hoyas take a mega step back for their lofty standards as they have some big holes to fill on both the offense and defense. 6. Good Counsel - next year will mark Dane Smith's 3rd year at the helm. The Falcons have gradually been building led by a decent crop of players in their 2026 class. Will next year be the year the Falcons leap to the WCAC title? 7. Episcopal - the Maroon were young this year and have made positive strides since March (beating PVI last night in the VISAA proves this a team they lost to back in March). If Conklin can bring in some marquee transfers as he did in 2023, don't sleep on the Marron next Spring. 8. PVI - not the ending the Panthers wanted yesterday but PVI was very young this season under a first-year head coach. Look for them to mature and take a step forward next spring. 9. DeMatha - hire a great coach and give him the resources to succeed long-term. The Stags are always athletic! 10. St. Albans - the Bulldogs were young this year, given 3 freshmen were starting. Expect them to take a step in the right direction next Spring.
