For the billionth time recruiters don't shop for players at events. They have a list of players that have reached out to them about attending their school. The list is generally vetted with grades and parents ability to pay. This is what they're going to see. From there recruiters might chat with a DOC or coach they know asking if an XYZ type player is available and would be interested in their school. Shopping for players at events doesn't work because everyone will want the same 5-6 players and only 5-6 colleges are going to get those players. Players just need to put in the work reaching out to the schools they want to play for to get on their radar. Also let your coach, doc, college liason, etc all know what you're looking to do so they can help out as much as possible. There could be 10000 recruiters or there could be 15. The only ones that matter are the ones that are there to see you play.
Quote of the century. This guy gets it.
ECNL = 1000 GA = 15
Does ImYouthSoccer redo the stats when all the ECNL girls enter the transfer portal? Do they show 70% of ECNL players enter transfer portal? when 500 of them don't find homes and stop playing, do they still count in the ECNL D1 players count?
Do they count the GA players in the portal too? What does the league have to do with the portal? So ignorant.
All leagues and clubs should have to keep track. It isn't so much a league thing then a club thing. Clubs not helping to provide good fits for players and stressing D1 to boost numbers should be held accountable. ECNL stresses D1 to players even if they shouldn't play D1 over any other division. Why do you see 1000+ players every year in the portal moving from D1? Because they should not have gone their. Most players have no idea the level of commitment that is required from a D1 athlete and they can't handle it. Before you say the GA stresses D1 also and doesn't report transfers I'll tell you this...ECNLs college impact is all about D1, they show little if any from other divisions. GA at least shows all college players.
"The show little if any from other divisions. GA at least shows all college players". Where is this "showing of Divisions from ECNL and GA you speak of?
