Neutral Observer Area Top Ten Week of May 13th
1. Landon - IAC Champs, winners of 15 straight, and a clean sweep of DC competition. The Bears put together a dominating performance against rival GP in the IAC championship last week. 2. Gonzaga - WCAC Champs. The Eagles and its elite senior class put on a stellar performance last night to de-thrown Cadets and bring the trophy back to Eye St. 3. St. Johns - WCAC runner-up. The young Cadets should be proud of the team's tremendous improvement from March. After a brutal non-league schedule, the Cadets put on a clinic against area teams. 4. Georgetown Prep - IAC runner-up. The gritty Hoyas put together a good season with two great wins over Bullis, Loyola Blakefield, and Don Bosco NJ. 5. Bullis - after a solid start to the season, including great wins over Spalding and Loyola Blakefield, the Bulldogs appeared to lose momentum down the stretch. 6. DeMatha - after a roller coaster of a Spring, including the dismal of their head coach in April, the Stags found a light and were hitting their stride in May when it mattered most. 7. PVI - first year head coach got the best out of the young Pathers. Expect PVI to make a run in the VISAAA playoffs this week. Don't sleep on Episcopal tonight in VISAA quarterfinals though. 8. Episcopal - The Maroon made gradual improvements over the course of this season. Big game tonight vs PVI in 2nd round of the VISAA playoffs. 9. Robinson - the NOVA public school power in VA largest state classification, is 15-0 and has been dominating teams all Spring. 10. St. James - the small boarding school from Hagerstown MD won its first ever MAC lacrosse banner.
