That is impressive but overstating it a bit (Very ECNL). Yeah, there are the years like that and it makes sense if you can assemble the best players from a state/region (which some might say is their priority over individual players who might be extremely talented but get bumped). And there are years where many players are only listed as going to the local colleges, plenty of non-D1. So, there is a Hawks mystique -- and no doubt many people get what they want and need from there -- but the problem is when you start digging into that club, it has its red flags, too, especially lately with some of its coaching issues (although it does appear they have taken steps to clean things up). That's why -- especially with the rise of the Nationals (and strong competition from the GA Jags) AND with its brother club which it shares facilities and who just happen to be MLSN starting a girls program, they definitely have their work cut out for them to stay on top.[/quote]
