At her 20-week U/S, the baby was discovered in-utero to have anencephaly a fatal condition that means that the baby's brain and skull were not formed correctly.  The child was going to die within days of birth at the most.  Normally, this was an easy case for an abortion, but instead, Texas made her carry the baby to term for another 5 months, risk multiple health risks and complications, and deliver the baby.  The baby died 4 hours after birth.

Truly cruel policies and the exceptions are a joke because doctor's can rarely satisfy the state requirements for conducting an abortion.

Anyone who is "pro life" needs to read this tragic story and know what your policies do to people and families.

They won’t read it. They will say it was so beautiful of the Texas legislature to give that baby every chance and what kind of mother wouldn’t sacrifice herself for her child to have even a chance at life. I’m pretty sure I’ve read that sicko excuse for forced birtherism on this thread though I’m not scrolling through 270 pages to prove it.[/quote]
