You're right. I should've said "preppy" not "yuppie".  Like below.  You're gonna tell me that a black dude living in a crime ridden black neighborhood wouldn't get beat up for dressing this way?  yea..right.

This is so funny.  My husband is from the straight up hood, Westwood-Memphis, TN and been dressing like this since 4th grade.  To the person who posted this, you fail to realize that the "Prep" look for the black folks has been popular since the 80's.  Everyone wanted to wear Ralph Lauren and Polo.  Why? Cause is was expensive and folks knew if your mom dressed you in polo you had cash (even while living poor) otherwise known as hood rich. Husband still wears nothing but polo, right down to the socks.  Take the man out the hood, but can't take the hood out...[/quote]
