As with all celebrity fund raisers, there are obviously lots of people out there who have enough money to donate it to the rich celebrities they admire, regardless of whether the celebs really need it. But in this case it seems the family really does need it. This is very different from a couple years ago when rich actress Alissa Milano set up a gfm for her kid's sports team... thingie. Her family is nowhere near destitute. VDB's family however, appears to be so.[/quote]
