We are in MCPS public. Many classmates are deferred.[/quote] Was your DD looking to major in a STEM field? My high stats, great EDs with many awards kid was also deferred from Duke this year. Another kid at our public with lower gpa and lower rigor got in, and if I had to guess, it was because that kid was pursuing a less popular major than my kid, who plans to major in biology.[/quote] Econ/poly sci [/quote]
