Try having your kid play for a a GA club that's better than 95% of the equivalent age ECNL clubs. The parents are so obnoxious. But its all worthwhile when you beat ECNL superclubs in tournaments and "friendlies".  Watching parents shuffle off the field in stunned silence is worth its weight in gold.[/quote]

The only phenomenal teams in the area are VDA 08/07. Maybe Arlington 11s. Fairfax Union 10s no longer exist and we have idea how the Bethesda 10s will do but they are probably closest to VDAs team. VDA 09s were close but failed at playoffs and don’t look like last years team. Bethesda 11s are similar to VDA 09s.

Phenomenal in my mind is any ECNL or GA team that makes final 4 of either GA or ECNL Nationals. My only exception would be top 8 on that Soccer App ranking.

I would classify any GA team in the area as phenomenal. Armour 10s were over a year ago but not anymore. FCV had some phenomenal teams but they are long gone now. [/quote]

Yes, they lost to Charlotte as well. Again, Senior year works a little different than other years. Almost the whole team is already committed. Girls tend to be more social first Senior year after committing, as they should. I am guessing a few are probably going to graduate this December.

What that team did at ECNL playoffs was pretty remarkable. Same goes for VA Union. NOVA teams U15 and up almost never do well in playoffs because of Spring High School soccer.

VDA 08 made it to the final 4 in ECNL. Heck of an accomplishment. Losing to a winless Arlington team seems like more of an anomaly than the norm.
