[/quote] Similar student from the class of '25, and this "who knows? problem" led them to apply to many extra colleges. Ended up in a great place that they're really happy with, but it was a long slog, and went all the way to Spring Break for a decision. If there's that one kid in your school who is a shoo-in at the top colleges, your odds competing against them are reduced. But in a large public, you can't know where others are applying. So legitimately, roll the dice and do more applications if it is worth it to your kid. [/quote]
