That is just dumb. More pressure on the kids to study independently for AP exams. 
Private schools appear to have overplayed their hand. I’m glad my youngest kid is a senior and we are leaving this ridiculous system.

Just because I was part of the system doesn’t mean I am blind to the shortcomings or can’t criticize anything.
I would probably do it again because alternative options are not particularly attractive either.
But I don’t look down on public school families because I understand we are overpaying for what we get and many folks might reasonably make a different choice. [/quote]
