The blue 2018 version was fine; the funeral ensemble is atrocious. She looks like she's trying to be Jessica Lange in American Horror Story: Coven. I think she or her stylist was trying to glamorize the outfit with the gloves but it just ended up looking witchy.

One thing that just struck me is that because of the cape Meghan was more physically closed off from the rest of the family than she would have been in a dress with sleeves. The cape was like a cocoon. Particularly in the moments when she is with the other women and children and not with Harry, this has the effect of making her look particularly solitary. This is not a criticism and I also don't think it was intentional. But I think her image is striking to me because I think this was a particularly lonely and isolating event for her, especially as she was placed in a fairly prominent role but without the familial connections and history with others that the other had.

I think her appearance at this funeral will wind up being very memorable to people for better or worse. I personally think she looked beautiful and stoic in a very awkward situation for her, and I applaud her for sticking to her style instincts and looking like herself, knowing people would criticize her no matter what. Others will view her look as unacceptable and evidence of how she does not belong within the royal family. Either way, this look will be remembered.[/quote]
I don't think anyone necessarily views it as "unacceptable"; it's not like she wore a bright red gown. It's just a matter of liking it or not liking it. That is all. [/quote]

One young woman wore a bright red, revealing dress to my FIL's funeral.  That was inappropriate. ( oh look who's wearing a push up bra kind of thing)
