All this handwringing etc. is fairly meaningless because a rankings organization decides to shift criteria that is tangential and shifts some schools up and others down. I think equity is important, but different regions have different proportions of Pell Grant recipients so it makes no sense to use that as a relative criteria when assessing public schools that serve different states.
